- Damian Bancks
- Damian Bancks was born in Sydney, Australia where, in his twenties he discovered an interest in photography. At the age of 30 he moved to Waiheke Island, New Zealand for 4 years. Upon returning to Australia he settled in Wollongong on the south coast of N.S.W. where he studied the Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts at West Wollongong TAFE majoring in Painting. For 2 years while studying he served on the Management Committee of the Artist Run Initiative, Project Contemporary Artspace in Wollongong. Over the past few years Damian has exhibited frequently in Wollongong including a huge Solo Exhibition (Kicking Up a Storm) in 2008. He has also exhibited in Sydney & Newcastle.
